 - The World of Raokrá
Jul 28, 3:29pm (1 review) ancient-history, rpg, medieval-fantasy http://rivendell.fortunecity.com/stoneke...- The good thing about Internet it's that once a content has been uploaded it really difficult to be completely erased. Good for some, bad for some others.
In this case it's good news.
Long before blogs took over the net people used to make personal webpages, on those days either you learn HTML (which by the way, was in it's most chaotic days) or tried to use some of the first WYSIWYG.
Anyway, on this particular case, the DM of my roleplaying group decided to write the entire campaign on his free website.
Here's the result. Thought he didn't write it all, I'm sure most of the world we played in it's here. Trapped on this electronical time capsule.
This is great, I may read it again entirely (I have done it more than once in these past ten years) but perhaps not today. These days you have to keep working and there's that much idle time in front of the net.
Anyway, I strongly recommend you to read the entire it's really great and is as fun to read as it was to play.
Cheers for Rahvi that had the patiente to type all this. =)

He made other valuable contributions to computer science, but the relational model, a very influential general theory of data management, remains his most memorable achievement.
 - The Cajun Chef: Cajun cooking and recipes
Feb 25, 9:38am (1 review) cooking http://www.thecajunchef.com/- From the page: "Chef Paul Prudhomme, of K-Paul's Restaurant in New Orleans and a native of Opelousas, Louisiana, can be given a lot of the credit for popularizing Cajun-style cooking in America. The dish that became his signature was Blackened Redfish, for which he created a new, simple but brilliant technique for cooking fish which involves cooking fish dipped in clarified butter and sprinkled with Creole seasoning in an iron skillet over incredibly high heat, creating a blackened crust and preserving the natural juiciness of the fish. Other great chef's like Justin Wilson, who appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, brought a special brand of humor to cooking and helped further the 70's and 80's craze for Cajun cooking. Brilliant, innovative Acadiana chefs like John Folse, Patrick Mould, James Graham and others are bringing in other ingredients, techniques, and sophisticated sauces into contemporary Cajun cuisine.
We will endeavor to bring you the best, most popular and tasteful recipes the Cajun/Creole culture has devised."

 - Integrating PHP and Perl
Jan 8, 11:01am (1 review) programming, linux, internet, perl, php http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/9282- PHP and Perl are both so powerful, they can even run each other.
Perl is a language often associated with text processing and CGI. PHP is a language often associated with dynamic Web pages. Both are very popular with Web developers. Often, each of these languages is used at the expense of the other. Hard-core Perl developers would love to develop everything in Perl, and PHP developers tend to stick with PHP.
